Take your measurement unit to the next level by allowing students to apply learned concepts of measuring to the world around them. This playground hunt activity allows students to find shapes and measure them with the skills they have learned about in class, in a place they visit regularly, their playground. They will find the perimeter, and exterior measurements of each item they find. Students will draw a representation of the item they found, label its shape, identify the object, record its measurements, and find its perimeter.
